Sara and Todd
Okay so this is a picture of my cousin Sara and her fiance Todd, who are getting married this Saturday! So I decided to draw them for their wedding gift for two reasons:
1) I'm totally broke.
2) I really like my cousin Sara. She's such a nice person, and is always so kind to me. She and her fiance have been together forever, so I've been waiting for this for a long time. And now that they're finally tying the knot, I'm super happy. :) So I thought I'd make them something special.
The thing about my scanner, is it sucks. So the picture on the left is what it looks like after it's been scanned, and the picture on the right is what it looks like after it's been photoshopped a little. The real thing looks sorta like a cross between the two of them. It has the softness of the shading of the first one, and the bold darkness of the outlines and hair. I'm going to take a photo of it, and if it comes out better, I guess I'll upload it as well.
I did a bit of cheating and held the paper up to the computer so I could trace over the original picture. T__T But honestly, it was just a vague outline, and obviously it's the shading and lining etc. that took me forever. And maybe if it was an experiment I might try to do it free-hand, but I wanted it to be perfect, since it's a wedding present.
Anyway~ finally, something I'm actually proud of! It took me about 7 hours from start to finish with no breaks (lol minus the occasional fb chat).
Not that anyone I don't know looks at this blog anyway, but if anyone who knows them sees this before the wedding, please don't show them. >> Thanks.

Mark Montage
LOL So my friend and I took this picture together, and I cropped it so that it was just our eyes, and I realized that the shadow of his nose looked like a mouth, and the shadow of his cheekbone looked like a jawbone. SOOOOO I turned him into an anime character. xDD

Centaur (lol my titles are so creative. >>)
The base of this drawing was sketched from a 'how to draw' book. lolol 'cause I suck at drawing horses. ;__; but I ended up doing the arms (you can tell by how bad they are, and by how girly the hands are. T__T) and face and detailing on my own. Ehee~ I'm so happy with his eyes! I tried to make his face look horse-like, and I think I actually did an alright job. His legs are uneven though, I think..
Singer
Uhh... it's... a singer. And there's something wrong with the only arm he has. >> Ugh. I need to learn to draw hands. And give guys larger feet. ><""
A Sleeping Ace- Unfinished
This is one that I'm actually proud of. lol It's obviously not done, but it's not just a sketch: I'm actually planning on finishing it at some point.
Uggllyyyyy
Hahaa two of my uglier sketches chopped up and mashed together. >__<"" I apologize for their ugliness.
Hahaa the size difference is kind of hilarious. xD
lol also I just realized they have like exactly the same expression. Except the girl looks a bit more freaked out. Hahaaa~ and I drew them both on completely different days... o_O
